Nani (born Naveen Kumar Ghanta) is an Indian film actor who mainly stars in Telugu films. After his education, he became an assistant director and worked with Seenu Vylta and Bapu[1] before working as a RJ for World Space Satellite in Hyderabad and was quite popular as "Non-Stop Nani".[2][3] He was offered the film Ashta Chamma also starring Swathi when the film's director noticed him in an advertisement. His second film Ride was produced by Bellamkonda Suresh.

Career

Nani was born and brought up in Hyderabad. He did his schooling from St. Alphonsus, Hyderabad and studied in Narayana Junior College, S.R Nagar. He graduated from Wesley’s. It was during his undergraduate that he got addicted to movies. Maniratnam was a big influence on him.

He initially wanted to become a director. Anil, a distant relative of his, was producing Radha Gopalam with Bapu. Nani joined Bapu as a clap director for that movie. He then worked for films like Allari Bullodu, Dhee and Asthram.

His film Ala Modalaindi, released on January 21, 2011, is a romantic comedy written and directed by Nandini Reddy. The film turned out be a refreshing hit and became a critical success. His performance in the movie received positive reviews from critics.
